Demanding a CBI inquiry into the Pipili gangrape incident,
protection to the family members the victim Bebina Behera and compensation of
Rs 50 lakh to her family, members of the Lakshyeghar Ganda Samaj Unnyanan Samiti,
Western Odisha, led by its president Om Prakash Kumbhar staged a dharna before
the District Collectorate on Tuesday.
Besides, members of Lakshyeghar Ganda
Samaj Unnyanan also demanded an early construction of a house for inter-caste
conflict victims at Lathore and protection for them.
They also demanded appointment of
special DSP to look into the atrocities on members of the SC and ST
communities.
