PATIENTS, NURSE HURT IN B’GIR HOSP AS ROOF PLASTER FALLS

Two patients and a nurse were injured
when a large chip of plaster suddenly fell from the roof and landed on their
beds at the Balangir District Headquarters Hospital here on Saturday morning.
The incident took place at around 9 am in the Medicine Ward of the
hospital. According to reports, a nurse of the hospital was attending to the
two patients in the ward when the piece of plaster from the roof fell on them.
“We are going to shift the patients to other wards as repair work will
be undertaken in the concerned ward,” said CDMO Dr Bikrant Kindo. District
Collector M Muthukumar said this was an unfortunate incident. “I have ordered
an inquiry into the incident,” he added.
