DEAF, DUMB STUDENTS SEEK BETTER FACILITIES
Members of the District
Deaf and Dumb Association, led by Ramji Panda, Kuldeep Sahani and Pradymnu
Sahu, submitted an eight-point charter of demands to the district Collector
here on the occasion of the International Day for the Deaf on Friday.
Their demands include
better education facilities for physically-challenged children upto High school
and college level, hostel facility for them and better equipments to students
of physically-disabled people.
The association members
further rued over the non-inclusion of the body and physically-challenged
persons in different Government and State schemes, while pressing their demand
for privileges.
