The image of Bolangir district administration took a further beating from the slow non-performance to corruption ridden, after the Crime Branch which enquired into the alleged scam in the recruitment  of Revenue Inspector, Assistant Revenue inspector and Amin in 2013 and recommened action against Former Collector Debraj Mishra, present deputy collector Anita Panda, BDO BinodBihari Dash, BDO RaghunathMindari and BDO RipunathSuna ,besides  a clerk in Collectriate NiranjanTripathy and government suspending former collector DebrajMishra and initiating proceeding against them

The role of then collector SriDebraj Mishra in SSA fund bungling scam was also controversial and the Crime branch is also enquiring into it with arrest of two accused Daktar sahu and Jethu Sahu.

Besides this, there are other areas where reports of irregularities like PDS distribution, construction of watersheds project, and its activity  ,including the status of Minor irrigation sin the district.

Issue of missing PDS items of Migrants never looked up by any investigative agency

Every year around one lakhs people migrates from this district to other state and they stay a minimum six month there .Nobody know what happens to the PDSof these migrants. Moreover  During the Phylin cyclone rice was sent  to the affected area but  the total quantity could not be  sent there. Moreover for the first time a total of 2142migrantsweebroughtback but nobody knows the fate of migrants’  PDsitem

Similarly the image of police has suffered a lot a beating after the death of a youth in the Bolangir police custody and burning of Titiligarh police station.
