In a significant development in anti-Maoist operations in Balangir district, the 189 Battalion CRPF team led by its Commander Tapan Pattnaik busted a Maoist hideout near Khuripani and Saapmund village in the Gandharmardan reserve forest area and seized huge amounts of explosives from the spot on Thursday.
According to reports, the CRPF team located the hideout after three days of continuous search in the forest. During the search, the team found a hidden steel box containing explosive materials including 360 numbers of gelatine sticks weighing 45 kg and 30 electric detonators.
