TThe Tusura police have arrested and court-forwarded three persons in Tusura, 40 km from here, in connection with the fake currency note case.
On the Ganesh Puja day, a person had purchased some liquor bottles by giving a few notes of Rs 1,000 denomination from a foreign liquor shop at Tusura. When the shop owner went to deposit the money, the bank officials detected the notes as fake and advised the owner to alert the police if the person further comes to his shop.
When a person came to his shop with the same series number of notes, the owner informed it to the police, following which the accused was arrested. The police are trying to nab the kingpin in this case, said Tusura PS IIC Gokul Chandra Sahu.
