TRADERS SEEK LOOTERS’ ARREST IN 3 DAYS

Balangir District Chamber of Commerce and Industry has threatened to observe a
Balangir Bandh on December 24 if police fail to arrest the culprits involved in
the loot occurred here on Friday night.
This was announced to mediapersons by Balangir
Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Tirupati Panigrhahi. Notably, two
youths had attacked a businessman, Ajay Malang, and decamped with his cash bag
when the latter was returning home. Similarly, another businessman was looted
in the town a few days ago. “We feel that police are neglecting. If they don’t
arrest the culprits within three days, we will go for a Balangir Bandh on
December 24,” said Panigrahi at a Press conference here. When contacted,
Balangir SP Deepak Kumar said the Balangir Town police have already registered
cases in these two incidents and investigation in on.
