Low
turnout of voters marks the election to Bolangir municipality held today, which
passed off peacefully with no reports of any untoward incident. A total of
42739voters out of total82002 exercised their franchise in 71booth
The
polling percentage was less compared to the general election. One of the reasons
is the voter list was finalized in 2013 .
In General Elections 2014 the voter list was updated till March
2014.Hence many people couldn’t cast their vote. Asked about NOTA provision in
this election, there was no such provision in this election and it is up to the

total of 58.33%voters caste their Right to vote in the election to Titilagarh municipality
which passed off peacefully today. Counting is slated to be take place tomorrow.
