Councillor of Ward-19, was elected unopposed as chairperson of the Balangir
Municipality on Friday.
Notably, the BJD had
won 15 out of 21 wards of the municipality in the recently held polls.
Similarly, the Congress garnered four wards and BJP and Independent got one
each.
On being elected as
the Chairperson, Behera said she would take steps to improve sanitation and
water supply systems and renovate roads in the municipality area.
Similarly, BJD
Councillor Gobardhan Nag was elected unopposed as the chairman of the Titilagarh
Municipality. Nag said he would take steps for development ofthe
municipalitywholeheartedly.
