Tuesday, 06 May 2014 | PNS | BALANGIR | in Bhubaneswar
Even as Padmabati Meher, ANM of the Jogimunda
sub-centre of Ghashain CHC in Patnagarh block, is going to receive the National
Florence Nightingale Award in New Delhi on May 12, her medical suffers from
lack of infrastructure.
A large number of patients come here and in the absence of
toilets, they face a lot for ordeal. Moreover, absence of water supply inside
the rooms has created further problem. “The patients at times use my personal
room and I have to go outside to fetch water from a tube well. There should be
proper water supply provision to all the rooms in the sub centre for better
performance, said Padmabati.
Besides, she said there should be a suction machine and facility
to provide oxygen to patients in the medical. She also lamented that her ANM
centre was without a boundary wall.
