The
members of the Primary Teachers’ Association here led by president Sitosh
Panigrahi on Saturday staged a dharna before the collectorate demanding scale
of pay at part with system of other States and the Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV)
teachers.
In
other States like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and
Tamil Nadu, teachers are getting salary in the pay brand of Rs9,300 - Rs34,800
with grade pay of Rs4,200, where as in Odisha, the teachers are getting salary
in the pay scale of Rs5,200 - Rs20, 200 with a grade pay of Rs2,200, they
lamented.
