Workshop on millets, agri biodiversity held
Balangir: A workshop on Millets and Agricultural Biodiversity, organised by the Millets Panchyat Bongomunda and supported by Millets Network of India, was held here on Saturday. Speakers at the event stressed on promotion of minor millets crop as it is rich in nutrition and could check malnutrition and ensure food security of poor people. It also helps in reducing global warming as its cultivation requires no use of chemical fertilizers. Among others, District Agriculture Officer RC Naik, Nilamani Mishra, BN Srikant, RS Hota, Dilip Kumar Dhala spoke on the occasion.
