The Election Commission of India has extended the duration of voting time from 7 am to 6 pm, fixing polling duration for 11 hours.
In thefirst phase of election scheduleto be held on 10April next The last date for filing of nomination is March 21 and the scrutiny of nomination papers would be held on the next day. Similarly, the last date of withdrawal of candidature has been fixed for March 26.
