Balangir ;Balangir Correspondent of The Pioneer Sri SudhirMishra was conferred with the Friend of Farmers award  to day at Desi Bihan Parab-2014(Traditional Seed festival) held at Village Dangbahal in Bargarh district ,40kmaway from here

Organized by Ahinsha Club BhutiBahal, with support from NABARD,The award was given to Sudhir Mishra Pioneer  for his extensive reporting on agricultural issues of Balangir, Bargarh and western Odisha and entire state besides highlighting the need for preservation ,propagation andpromotion of Desi Bihan seeds, (Traditional seed),minor millets like Gurjee, Mandia etc

Noted activist SarojMahanty fromSambalpur in the presence of Sri Siba Prasad Sahu who has been Organizing the traditional seed festival since 2008 and working on preservation, promotion of traditional seed and minor millets in Bargarh district,gave this award  which carries a citation and shawal .

Among other Sarpanchof Dangbahal panchyat(Bargarhdistrict) and other  villagers  were present on that occasion.
