Sashibhushan Saraf (45) of Gurund village in Muribahal block had migrated with his five children and wife to work in a brick kiln of Andhra Pradesh (AP) in January last by accepting an advance from a local sardar.
Sashibhushan owns 1.5 acre of land. Before migrating he suffered crop loss due to drought and found no job work at his village under NREGA. After working in Patiram brick kiln in Dundichell area in unhygienic conditions for a few days, his wife Baidehai Saraf fallen sick.
As his wife’s condition deteriorated, Sashi requested the brick kiln owner to allow him to go home, but the latter turned down his request. However, the labourer appraised his wife’s condition to a second rung middleman Padmlochan Dang, who was somehow moved by his plight and made arrangement for his return journey.
With his ailing wife and two children, Sashi returned home, leaving his three daughters in Andhra Pradesh as he could not arrange the money to bring everybody back home. He reached home on February 29.
However, after reaching his village, Sashi and his wife are not in peace. They are worried about the fate of their three daughters.
Only Government intervention can help him bring back his three kids from AP.
