“I am contesting elections for the last time. Please, vote for
me,” said Ananga Uday Singh Deo at a BJD election meeting here in the presence
of party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday.
Patnaik
criticised the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre for “curtailing the
KBK fund”. This forced the State Government to launch a Biju KBK Yojana,he
said.“I have toured different parts of the State and there is a wave of support
for the BJD,” Patnaik claimed. He appealed to people to vote for BJD Balangir
Assembly candidate AU Singh Deo and Balangir Lok Sabha candidate and AU Singh
Deo’s son Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo In view of a likely hung Parliament,
Naveen Patnaik would play a greater role at the national level, observed
