ODIA CARTOONISTS ENTER LIMCA BOOK

 Cartoonist brothers Aswini and Abani Rath of Kosal Nagar in Balangir town have brought laurels for their district as well as for the State by enlisting themselves in the Limca Book of Records.
The siblings, having different professions, are engaged in the cartoon art since nearly 25 years. A postgraduate in Botany, Aswini is a Lecturer in the Tarabha College while Abani, a postgraduate in Chemistry, is a senior officer at an LIC branch in Balangir. Their first cartoon was published in monthly Odia magazine Bajravana in 1989. Later, their artworks got published in several Odia, English and Hindi dailies and magazines. Besides, several news websites have also carried their cartoons. Their creations were also displayed at the cartoon gallery in Bangalore by the Indian Institute of Cartoonists. In recognition of their creativity, the Limca Book of Records has enlisted their names recently.
