Villagers of
Balipata in Patnagarh sub-division alleged substandard works in a village
Anganwadi centre.
In a petition
submitted to the Assistant Project Director of DRDA, the villagers mentioned that the construction
work of the village Anganwadi centre is of substandard nature. The building
work started two years ago but the building was yet to be completed, they said.
The construction work is
so poor that water is leaking from the ceiling, while walls have developed
cracks.
The concrete road to the
centre is also of poor quality, they maintained, adding that another Anganbadi
centre on the backside of the Government Primary School has also been
constructed poorly.
The villagers
urged the district administration to hold an inquiry in the scam.
