SIT-UP, FAINT IN SCHOOL

Even as corporal punishment in schools has
been banned, yet, in a shocking incident, a few girl students of Lukapada High
School under Puintala block were allegedly told to do sit-up for coming late to
the school.
According to reports, a few girl students arrived late on
Thursday when the payer class was going on at the Lukapada High School.
The headmistress got angry at this and allegedly asked
the latecomers to stand outside and do sit-up for 100 times.While obliging the
headmistress, some students fainted and could not walk properly. Informed,
irate guardians soon rushed to their ward’s safety and lodged a complaint with
Balangir Sadar police station.
