TEAM TO INSPECT SEASONAL SSA HOSTELS IN B’NGIR, NUAPADA

With view to having on-the-spot assessment of functioning of seasonal schools and hostels opened under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for migrants’ children in Balangir, Nuapada and Bargarh districts and the steps required to improve their functioning,  a delegation of Government officials from the Education, Labour and Women and Child Development Departments, members from civil societies headed by member of Odisha Commission for Child Rights Protection Rajendra Meher is scheduled to visit Balangir and Nuapada districts on May 23 and 24.

The delegation would assess the problems faced by the inmates of the hostels official sources said. The team would also interact with community members on how to ensure better functioning of the hostels.

Moreover, at the end of the visit, the team members would hold discussions with Government officials.Interestingly, the visit of the team is scheduled at a time when the seasonal schools are about to close.
