Balangir
druggists stage demo
Balangir: Responding to
the nationwide agitation call given by the All India Organisation of Chemists
and Druggists, the Balangir District Chemists’ and Druggists’ Association on
Friday closed their shops and staged a demonstration in front of the district
Collectorate.
Association
members led by its president Ramchandra Purohit staged the dharna demanding
fulfilment of their four-point charter of demands including withdrawal of the
‘unjustified’ changes made in Drugs Act (Amendment) 2008, elimination of FDI in
retail pharmacy and continuation of the existing margin of the trade in the new drug policy.
