Activists of the Youth Congress led by president of Youth
Congress Balangir Lok Sabha constituency Akash Mishra on Tuesday gheraoed the
Puintala block office protesting against the assault on and arrest of Congress
workers by the police on the party’s September 6 rally in Bhubaneswar.
They demanded withdrawal of the
pictorial posters of the party workers displayed in different police stations.
Mishra said, “We are staging this gherao protesting against the attack on
Congress workers during the Bhubaneswar rally and demand withdrawal of the
cases against them besides removal of their posters from different police
stations.”
