The Indian Youth Congress' Lok Sabha
Committee, Balangir, has expressed concern over the sorry state of the NHs
passing through Balangir and Subarnapur districts.
The condition of NH-26 from Balangir
to Salebhata is full of potholes. So also is the condition of the NH from
Balangir to Manmunda. The potholes on the roads are a big problem for commuters
and vehicles and often cause accidents, pointed out president of IYC LS Committee,
Balangir, Akash Mishra in a memorandum submitted to the Chief Engineer of
National Highway through the NH Executive Engineer, Balangir. Mishra threatened
to launch a stir unless "proper steps are taken to improve the road
situation by September 30."
