The tribals took out march on Tuesday demanding cancellation of
the transfer order of Dr Minaketan Kisan who was posted at the Community Health
Centre (CHC) at Kholan, 80 km from here and has been transferred to Koraput
district.

Kalyan Mahasangh led by its president Braja Kishore Singhbhoi, secretary
general Niranjan Bisi and Satyanayan Bhoi gheroed the District Collectorate.
Dr Kisan was popular at the Kholan
CHC extending medical service to poor and tribal people round the clock and
being accessible to all. He has been transferred as he was not pulling on well
with the medicine shop owner inside the hospital premises, alleged
Singhbhoi.
Bisi alleged that the medicine shop
owner in nexus with the local MP are behind his transfer. Moreover, the vacant
doctors’ posts in Titilagarh sub-division and in the district should also be
filled up immediately.
CDMO Dr Vikrant Kindo, when contacted,
said, “We have reports that Dr Kisan has represented for modification of his
transfer order to another block in the district, and it would be looked into.”
“We will intimate the demand of
people to the Government,” said ADM Sadhab Minj when a delegation of tribal
leaders met him.

Deo said. “I have no role to play.”
