DRIVE AGAINST POLYTHENE USE HELD IN B’NGIR

A rally comprising school students, teachers, SHG members, forest officials and others was flagged off by Block Education Officer Nepal Chandra Bag at Kurul village in Balangir district on Wednesday to create awareness against use of polythene.
Later, the Balangir Forest Range organised a meeting at Kurul High School presided over by School headmaster Subash Chandra Panda.
Sibadutta Mishra, Dilip Kumar Dhal, Sudhir Kumar Mishra, BC Roul, Anand Chanda Badpanda graced as guests and spoke on the rising threats to environment and society due to rampant use of polythene.
They also highlighted the serious consequences of use of polythene to soil and environment and stressed on less use of polythene in daily life and to use its proper disposal and waste management for a better future.
