NAVEEN PATNAIK TAKES SUGGESTIONS FROM DMS

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is understood to
have accepted many practical suggestions made by District Collectors on
effective implementation of various schemes on the first day of the three-day
DMs’ conference on Sunday.
The suggestions made by Balangir Collector Ashish
Thakre, Nayagarh’s Arindam Dakua and Dhenkanal’s Bhupendra Singh Poonia were
very positive and out of box thinking, according to sources.
Five groups of Collectors were formed to suggest
ways to the Government on how to effectively implement schemes like rural
housing, drinking water, paddy procurement, Forest Rights Act, various schemes
for farmers and students.
Each group had two moderators from among
departmental Secretaries and Directors and they discussed issues in separate
conference halls.

General Administration Special Secretary Ashok
Kumar Meena coordinated the workshop which was attended by Additional Chief
Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and other senior officials,
sources said.
