Bolangir MPSri Kalikesh Narayn Singhdeo urged Union Health MinisterJP Nadda to release of funds for speedy construction of medical college in Bolangir. In a letter submitted to him on 5th August 2016,Sri Singhdeo mentioned that "Government owns a major share in creation of this medical college, the delay in release of funds is delaying the construction of medical college" The Bolangir district headquarter hospital caters to the majority health care needs.However the hospital is suffering from a dearth in required medical facilities and is unable to meet the large number of patients who come to avail treatment. The setting up a medical college in Bolangir would help to tackle these problems.Additionally it would improve the healthcare services in the district,besides increasing availability of trained human resources,points out sri Singhdeo written to Union Health Minister JPNadda
