Bolangir.
Akshya Tritiya the day when farmers begins the
ploughing of land and sowing/Broadcasting of paddy seed was held today at Larkipali Bolangir.
District Collector, M Muthukumar ,BolangirZilla
Parishad president Bijaya Pradhani, Deputy Director of Agriculture
ManoranjanMallick perfomed ritual Puja of seeds land and later they ploughed
that land at Larkipali and sown /broadcasted the paddy seeds.
Later a meeting
was held where in District CollectorM.Muthukumar, Zilla Parishad Chairman
Bijaya Pradhani, DDA ManoranjanMallick spoke on the importance of day and urged
farmers to keep seeds earlier so that they would not faced problem in future.
DDA Manoranjan Mallick spoke in details about the this year Kharif cultivation and seed
requirement, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sichayain Yojana, insurance of three crops
namely Paddy, Groundnut and cotton in the district crop within 31st
July.
