20-MNT SUN RING SIGHTED IN B’NGIR SKY

Even as the people of Balangir are reeling under extreme heat conditions coupled with water shortage, low voltage and load shedding, desperately seeking a respite from the scorching summer, they on Sunday morning noticed a curious phenomenon in the sky — a colorful ring around the sun.

It appeared all on a sudden at around 11.30 am with people gazing it with great deal of craze though it was difficult to look at the sky under the sharp and hot rays of the sun.

It was equally difficult to take a snap.

However, the same sun ring was also sighted in Kantabaji and Titiligarh areas which are notorious for extreme heat.

The ring was visible for 20 minutes in the clear sky at Balangir.
