ABDUCTED B’NGIR YOUTH RESCUED FROM KOMNA

A youth, Ashutosh Das,
was abducted on Thursday evening from the outskirts of Balangir town with the
kidnappers demanding Rs2 crore in return of the victim. According to police
sources, Ashutosh of Station Road of the town was invited to see a plot of land
on the outskirts of the town. When he arrived there, he was kidnapped in a car.
After getting a complaint
from Ashutosh’s father, Balangir Sadar police registered a case. The youth was,
however, rescued from Komna in Nuapda district on Friday morning. The police
are questioning one person in this connection, said Balangir ASP Jugal Kishore
to this correspondent and declined to say anything further.
