Vigilance sleuths detected total movable and immovable assets
during a house search of Dr Anantaram Meher, Specialist in Orthopedics at the
District Headquarters Hospital in Balangir to be Rs1, 69, 11,551. The search
was on and it was expected that the total assets may reach to over Rs2 crore.On
the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets, the
Sambalpur Vigilance team conducted a raid at his residential house located in
Brahmanpada in Balangir town and several of his houses at Patnagarh town
simultaneously on June 28.
