counter opened at Balangir Town

DIG Sanjay Kumar inaugurated a reception counter at the Balangir Town police
station on Tuesday. Kumar said that with this reception counter, people could
wait there rather barging straight into the police station. Besides, a proposal
for setting up a Mahila police station in the district has also been sent to
the Government, he informed. Asked on the progress of the Crime and Criminal
Tracking Network System in the district and elsewhere, Kumar said the first
phase has been completed and the rest would be done soon. Among others,
district Collector D Prasant Reddy, SP Ravi Prakash, ASP PK Patra, SDPO Narayan
Nayak and Town PS IIC Tareque Ahemad were present.
