Palasa leaves. Abundantly found in western odisha forests. Palsa flowers blossoms in the spring season. It beautifies the nature .After the flowers season is over the trees became full with new leaves. These leaves are used as leaf cup and plate in the villages especially during the summer season. Excellent posting.
ReplyDeleteOdia-Palash, English -Flame of the forest. Flowers bloom during spring, about holi festival and the Palash trees are full with orange /red coloured flowers while leafless. The entire landscape looks as if under fire. Hence, the name. Botanical name -Butea monosperma
