TAKES UP JAUNDICE ISSUE WITH HEALTH MIN

In the wake of several jaundice cases detected
in Balangir, Rajya Sabha member AU Singh Deo has taken up the issue with Health
Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Housing and Urban Development Minister
Puspendra Singh Deo. Apprising the Urban Development Minister, AU Singh Deo
stressed on clean and safe drinking water supply and said that old pipe lines
should be replaced with new ones and people should be provided safe drinking
water through tankers. Besides, there should also be cleanliness drives in the
town, the MP added. While talking to the Health Minister, he requested him to
open a special ward for jaundice patients in the Balangir District Headquarters
Hospital (DHH) to ensure proper care of the patients. Both the Ministers
assured Singh Deo that all necessary steps would be taken to control jaundice
in the district.
