RTI activist Nilamani Joshi has threatened to stage an
indefinite dharna in front of the district Collectorate from December 1
demanding cancellation of the Revenue Inspector (RI) and Amin recruitment
examinations-2013 for Balangir district and appropriate punishment to the four
OAS officers and subordinate staffs involved in the recruitment scam.
In a letter to CM Naveen Patnaik, Joshi hailed the arrest of
former Balangir Collector Debraj Mishra and demanded the same punishment for
other people involved in the racket.He also alleged that another former
Collector of Balangir also did not take proper step against the irregularities
in the recruitment.
“Moreover, the present district Collector should have taken
action against the OAS officers and the subordinate staffs involved in the scam
in the beginning,” Joshi pointed out, demanding that all those responsible for
the irregularities in the examinations be sent to jail.
