Members of the Utkal Grameen Bank Officers’ and Employees’ Association led by Pulin Mishra and Prakash Mahapatra on Friday staged a dharna before the head office of the Utkal Gramya Bank office here demanding fulfilment of their seven-point charter of demands.
The demands included immediate review of promotion and recruitment rules with relaxation norms for promotion at par with sponsor banks, halt to privatisation of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), pension parity for all RRB staffs including newcomers, regularisation of daily wage and casual workers, representation of workmen and officers in the board of directors and compensation to RRBs for demonetisation at par with sponsor banks.
