Shortage of classrooms, and space, overcrowding forced primary school children to take midday meal in open space in Bolangir;
Bolangir; Even as the government is making claims of providing better infrastructure at school level to provide a healthy atmosphere and to impart education to primary school student, the situation at Salepali Project Upper Primary school ,located within Bolangir municipality tells a different picture.
The Salepali Uppar primary school imparts education up to class eight. There are only a total of four class rooms and our student’s strength is 140.Besides the 50 primary school students of Kamakshyee Nagar are attached and study here. More over children’s of Salepali Anganwadi are also study here and given food. There is no boundary in our school .Nor there is electricity. The shortage of space has forced children to take mid-day meal in open says a teacher. We have appraised the situation to higher authorities about this problem.Even though the school has eight classes there are only four teachers
