State Police Football
Championship from Aug 21
Balangir: The 78th State
Police Football Championship would be held at Balangir from August 21 to
September 6, informed Superintendent of Police of Bolangir ,Dr Deepak Kumar at
a Press conference on Wednesday. A total of 44 teams from different police districts,
OSAP Battalions, IRBN units, Commissionerate police team, and Odisha fire
services team are scheduled to participate in this tournament. All the
108 matches would be played in three different playgrounds of Bolangir namely
Reserve Police ground, Manoharpur, Gandhi Stadium and Pallishree Stadium
Sadaipali. DIG Northern Range Sambalpur Prateek Mohanty is schedule to be
chief guest on opening day on August 21 and Arun Kumar Ray Additional
DGP, SAP Odisha ,would be the chief guest on the closing day. We hope
this tournament would give a boost to the game of football in the district,
added Kumar.
