Bolangir Farmer to receive Krishi Karman
Award from PM on 19th February 2015
Bolangir;
Nirakara Dharua a farmer of BaadTelenPali ofKhuntpali GP in the Lower Suktel
project area of Bolangir district is going
to receive the Krishi Karman award from PM Narendra Modi on 19th February at Surathgarh,Rajsthan
for achieving highest paddy production in the state.
The
Bureau of Statistic carries out survey of villages and paddy field with participation
of Agriculture Department on random
basis and carries out “yield estimation crop cutting”.In 2013, they
undertook the yield estimation crop cutting in the field of Nirakar Dharuaa in
BadTelenPali,says an agriculture official.
In Kharif2013,Nirakar
Dharuaa of BaadtelenPali had cultivated
MTU-1001High yielding variety and achieved a production of 115quintal per Hectare.
While the normal paddy yield of the district is 25.53kg, NirakarDharua by using
SystemRice Intensification (SRI), line transplanting method and using bio-fertiliser,
got a production of 45quitnals per Acre.
"We
are proud of him. Let other farmers emulate him and achieve such record productions" says BolangirMP Kalikesh Narayan Singhdeo when contacted.
