Kantabanji Congress MLA Santosh Singh Saluja now seems to be on the hit list of the Maoists as per the warning given in the ultras’ posters that surfaced on Saturday.
Several such posters were posted in different parts of Katabanji town. The posters were purportedly written by the Central Division Commander of the Nuapada CPI(Maoist).
As Saluja is allegedly engaged in corrupt activities and encouraging timber mafia, he would be killed, the posters threatened.
Saluja said, “My workers have intimated me about the threatening posters. This is for the second time that such posters have come up against me.
“I believe there is a conspiracy to kill me by police. After getting details tomorrow, I shall write a letter to the Chief Minister and even raise the issue in the Assembly,” he told this correspondent over phone, when contacted.
Contacted, Balangir SP Abinash Kumar said, “We are verifying and looking into the matter.
