Special rappourter of National Human Rights Commission ,Odisha Sri Damodar Sarangi today visited LowerSuktel Budi Anchal area in LowerSuktel Irrigation project and held discussion today with people and listened to their complaints  of abuse and assault  by police    at Gadshankar Dunguripali, Pardhiapali and Koindapali30kmaway from here .

All my peers/fellows trees have disappeared from my side thanks to process of development and a dam would be constructed here.Merciless ly people have mowed down the trees who were standing with me for years /decades and it has been cleared .
As the dark clouds hovers in the sky and winds blows forcing him to from this side to that side,apprehending another assault by nature ,the tall tree is in fearful state and counting his days--to be removed from here .

Poor BSNL Network irks customers at Bolangir.

Bolangir; Even as the cellular service provider  Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited BSNL is making tall claims of connecting  India through its cellular services, yet frequent disruption of BSNL service over past one week has  really irked the customers  and  some are even contemplating to switching to private cell phone operators.

This is not only in BSNL mobile network but also in broadband service. The broadband service is ether slow or there is disruption in broadband connection forcing BSNL customer to   face lot of difficulties.

The expansion and modernization work of BSNL is going in allover Odisha in view of increasing number of customers and their demand. Today (1stmarch2014) there was some problem at Sambalpur side hence broadband service was affected  .However it has been restored by now today (1PM) adding that this type of difficulties is likely to continue till next week says In charge TDM BSNL Bolangir Sri BRPani(on 1st march2014)

Youth Congress(Bolangir LoKSabhaConstituency ) gherao Bolangir DFO office demanding crop damage compensation. 3rdMarch2014

Bolangir ;Members of Youth Congress Bolangir lok Sabha  constituency and villagers of Agalpur  block who suffered  crop damage due  to elephant ,  led by   president of Bolangir LokSabha  Constituency Sri AkashMishra gheroed the Divisional forest  office Bolangir today(3rd March2014) afternoon demanding immediate payment  of compensation.

The villagers have submitted their petition to authorities’ several times earlier demanding compensation due to damage by elephant menace. However as the authorities did not respond, along with villagers we have gheroed the DFO office says Aakash Mishra to Pioneer. So far I have the list of 69people whose crop was damaged due to elephant has not received compensation since 2012 and 2013, Mishra said further.

Villagers also allege cutting of trees from forest in Loisingha due to apathy of forest official .After matter was informed to District Collector  M.Muthukumar, he directed the DFO to sort out the matter and DFO Abhiram Nayak assured the villagers to made payments within 3days .

Bolangir ;Members of district development council led by Satyamishra and Rabipujhari  Panchyajanyapanda and pothers today took out a Nirmal Hospital Abhiyan in the district head quarter hospital and cleaned various parts of district hospital  here. They were supported by members of Bolangir Action committee led by Gopalji Panigrahi and others.

 CDMO Bolangir DrBikrantKindo Welcomed the Nirmal hospital Abhiyan.
Will the hospital cleaning staff would perform their duties more effectively in making hospital a clean and safe  one?
Moreover it is to be seen how long this nirmal hospitalAbhiyaan would continue ? The waste disposal unit is not  functioning properly.Garbage are found littered before the house and it is even littered in the road side of that house   Will this  Abhiyaan fade out from the scene after initial enthusiasm says after for few  months.Will it continue

 for years ?We have to wait and see the situation.time will say further.
