10 MORE MALARIA PATIENTS IN B’NGIR

At least 10 more people were diagnosed as malaria patients at the Kantabaji hospital in Balangir district on Saturday. The affected persons were from Badbanki, Mahakhand and Khibahal villages of Tureikela block.

Around 35 people were also admitted to hospital for fever. Due to shortage of beds, patients are sleeping on the floors of the hospital.

Meanwhile, Ashis Khaitan of Kantabanji said, “If the medical authority fails to take any immediate step to improve the healthcare systems in the Kantabanji area, we would stage a dharna before the hospital.”
