489 MISSING KIDS FROM BALANGIR TRACED OUT

A total of 489 children, out of 539 missing ones were traced out and efforts are on to locate the rest children, said Balangir SP Dr Deepak Kumar speaking to The Pioneer here.
Operation Smile-1was launched in 2014 and a total of 539children from Balangir were missing from the district. Due to dedicated efforts of Balangir police, 489children were traced out .The Ministry of Home Affairs asked all the States to launch Operation Smile-2 from January 1 to 31 in 2015.
To trace out the 49 missing children, a dedicated team has been formed under an anti human trafficking unit, which is making all out effort to trace these children. As a first step, all the childcare institutions of the district are being inquired into to know the presence of any missing child from any place across India and in the second phase a team of officials will go to Tamil Nadu to trace out the missing children of not only of this district but also of the State, SP Deepak Kumar said further.
