PROTECTION HELD AT BOUDH

To sensitise civil societies on the situation of orphan and
vulnerable children in the absence of parental care and various alternative
care models and ensure peoples’ participation in implementation of different
laws related to child protection under the Juvenile Justice Care and Protection
Act and Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS), a district-level workshop
was organised by the NGO YCDA at Boudh on Wednesday.
Boudh Collector Madhusudan Mishra stressed on the need for school
enrolment of more and more children and other steps to check dropouts. YCDA CEO
Rajendra Meher stressed on convergence and coordination among the line
departments and civil societies to address the child rights violation and their
protection.
Boudh Sub-Collector Srikant Tarai and Boudh District Child
Protection Officer Rahul Pradhan also spoke on the ICPS and various structures
and mechanisms working for child protection across the district.
