=====================================================================
Bolangir; For the first time in the cricket history Bolangir,  a four day Ranji trophy match, organised by District Athletic Association and Odisha Cricket Association,  between Rajasthan and Odisha, is going to be played from 21st  to 24January at Gandhi stadium in Bolangir.
Addressing media persons AshirbadBehera, Secretary of Odisha Cricket Association informed that that the curator BCCI east zone, has described the of pitch of Gandhi stadium is good. Bolangir has already produced three national level women cricketer MaduriMehta,RoshanaraParbin and SaritaMeher. And it has motivated other women players’ ofOdisha. A women cricket academy would be set up in Bolangir and hopefully within a year. I would take up this case once the BCCI convenes its meeting. Last year first T-20match was held and CKNaidu trophy was also held here .
Now Ranji trophy is going to held and if the other conditions of test match and international matches are fulfilled here then holding of such matches could be think of.SaysOCA Secretary AshirbadBherea while thanking Secretary of District Athletic Association Harinarayan Pujhari (Nari) for his continuous effort preparing the stadium for this match.
Earlier president of District Athletic Association Sri Srikara Mishra welcomed the guest and informed that Rajsthan team would arrive by tomorrow evening and Odisha cricket team is expected to arrive by 18thevening.

This Ranji Match has elated many cricket players here. I played Ranji trophy in Cuttack in 1991-93, besides Sanjya Behera. Already women cricketer has brought fame for Bolangir at national level .I hope this Ranji match would it would-be an inspiration for young cricket players, says former cricketer Surya Mishra, who is now a Ranji match player selector.
