The Bolangir parliamentary constituency recorded a brisk polling of 74.94%poliing in the just concluded election to lok Sabha and Assembly on 10thApril . This was announced to media men by District Collector. M. Muthukumar in a press conference today evening which started almost one hour late.

The Bolangir district recorded a 73.50%votes .
There were  poll boycott in five booths namely boothno172inPatnagarhblock, booth no 45 in Loisingha and in 19,20 and 39 booths in Titilagarh assembly segments .
There was no poll violence in the district and election was completed in a free, fair and peaceful manner and M.Muthukumar thanked all the polling, security and other personnel involved in this exercise.
For dereliction of poll duty by government employees 21FIR have been lodged against them and strict action would be taken Muthukumar said.
