A meeting of the Balangir District Bar
Association was held on Tuesday evening being attended by representatives of
several other organisations of the town.
It was decided to continue the agitation
till Saturday in support of the demand for setting up a permanent Bench of the
Odisha High Court at Balangir and boycott elections to the urban local bodies.
On Wednesday, the Balangir Action Committee
lead the agitation while on Thursday the Citizens’ Committee will take the lead
for the stir.
The local Chamber of Commerce has given a
bandh call on Saturday when it will lead the agitation.
A Mashal Yatra is also scheduled to be held
on Saturday, informed president of the Bar Association Binayak Mishra to
mediapersons.
